Why can't I see recent changes to my template?

I've renamed or made other changes to a template in the visual editor, but the changes aren't showing up. Why?

Changes to templates refresh periodically. If you've made recent changes to a template that aren't showing up yet, select Actions > Refresh Visual Templates to refresh.
