How do I create or edit a subcategory? 

Follow these steps

Subsubcategories are not only used for further categorization but can also be used for clients using GlobalTill’s point-based discounting option. To create a subsubcategory, follow these steps. To edit the settings of an existing category, follow steps 1 - 2 and then click on the subsubcategory name you wish you edit.

1. Select Products > Product Management.
2. Select Category Manager.
3. Select the Wrench Icon > New SubSubCategory.
   
4. Enter the category settings and select Submit. See table below for definitions of each field.
   

Subsubcategory settings explained

Settings	Details
Product category	The name of the subsubcategory.
Display name text	The customer facing name displayed on invoices and in select integrations.
Disconnect web	If enabled, only publishes the quantity available but does not change the web price in select integrations.
Redeem quantity required	For use with GlobalTill's points-based discount program, determines the number of units purchased to qualify for one free redemption.
Redeem type	For use with GlobalTill's points-based discount program, determines if redemption is discounted by full price or half price.
Redeem percentage	For use with GlobalTill's points-based discount program, determines if redemption is discounted by full price or half price.
