How to remove funds from a gift card in the GT Backend

Heads up

Unlike gift card redemption, funds removed using Remove Funds have no associated sales transaction, or method of payment. Removal of funds is usually performed when a gift card is returned/refunded, or if a gift card was sold or loaded in error.

How do I remove funds from a gift card in the GT Backend?

Follow these steps

Select Products > Advanced > Gift Cards.
Locate the gift card from which you wish to remove funds.
Under the Actions header, select Remove Funds.
Enter the amount to remove in Amount to Redeem (this amount will be deducted from the gift card), and any relevant Notes.
Select Submit.
