Why doesn't my recent download of GT Mobile open on my Android device?

I downloaded a new version of GT Mobile from the Google Play Store, but I'm unable to open it on my Android device. When I try to open GT Mobile, it crashes. How do I fix this?

Answer

This can happen if you initially installed GT Mobile from an Android Application Package (APK), and then installed a later version from the Google Play Store.

To resume functionality, follow these steps on your Android device.

1. Go to Settings > Apps.
2. Find GT Mobile and click on it.
3. Select Storage.
4. Select Clear data, and go back.
5. Select Uninstall at the bottom.
6. Reboot your Android device and re-install GT Mobile from the Google Play Store.
   

     Heads up

   You must reboot your Android device for the changes to be effective.
