How do I create retail pricing rules?

Follow these steps

  1. Select Products > Pricing > Retail Prices.
  2. Select Actions > Add Rule.
  3. Enter a Name for the retail pricing rule. We recommend keeping names concise but descriptive.
  4. Decide whether to Set Price To either Desired Margin, Desired Markup, or Exact Price
  5. Enter the Percentage margin or markup. Alternatively, you can choose to set an Exact Price.
  6. Choose the base cost for the calculation. Options are: Last Ordered Cost, Cost Average, AGLC Cost, or variations of the Highest of selected costs.
  7. Select the Cost Type used in the calculation. We recommend the base unit cost in most cases.
  8. Choose whether rounding should apply to the Base Price or the Final All in Price.
  9. Select the Rounding Type to be used.
  10. Enter the High Low Breaking Point - If breaking point is selected as the Rounding Type, GlobalTill will round up to the next dollar when the price is above this value, or the next $0.25 when below this value. (For example: If a breakpoint is $30 and the calculated retail price of an item is $25.39, GlobalTill will round that up to $25.75. If the calculated retail price of an item is $32.34, GlobalTill will round that up to $33 even.)
  11. For B.C. Liquor Industry Only - Choose whether to Match BC Liquor Stores. If a product with a matching SKU is located on bcliquorstores.com the price will be matched, regardless of the margin or markup rules set here.
  12. Click Submit.
  13. Once the retail pricing rule is created, it must be assigned to a product or a category of products.
  14. Once the rule is attached to a product or category of products, you must apply the rule for it to take effect.
