Does the POS automatically close the batch with our payment provider?

Not all payment processors support batch closing via semi-integration. Contact your payment processor to verify POS initiated batch settlements are supported before enabling this setting.

Question

At the end of a shift, does the GT POS automatically close the batch with our payment provider?

Answer

If enabled, Auto Close Batch (Auto Settle) will close the batch when End Shift is performed at the POS. If this setting is off, a manual batch close must be performed. Alternately, some payment processors offer automatic batch closing, sometimes referred to as System Close or Auto Settle. Contact your payment processor for more information.

To enable Auto Close Batch, follow these steps.

1. Select Settings. 
2. Select the Payment tab.
3. Turn on Auto Close Batch (Auto Settle).
