How do I assign a prefix to a barcode so that when scanned, barcodes with this prefix will initiate a gift card redemption at the POS?

Follow these steps

You can assign a 2-4 character code as a prefix for gift card barcodes. Barcodes scanned with this prefix will tell the POS to initiate a gift card redemption. To set up a gift card prefix, follow these steps.

1. Select Settings > Store Settings.
2. Select Edit Store.
   
3. Select the Advanced tab.
4. In the Scan gift card prefix box, enter the 2-4 digit character code to use as the assigned prefix.
   
5. Select Submit.
